Catholic Schools Week
January 29th - February 5th

We officially kick off Catholic Schools Week "Faith. Academics. Service" with the celebration of the Liturgy at noon on Sunday, January 29th. We will have a Pancake Breakfast (sponsored by our Athletic Association) from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Registration for Preschool and Kindergarten for 2012 - 2013 school year will take place immediately following the mass. We welcome anyone interested in pursuing Catholic Education or if you just want to see our beautiful school, please join us at our Open House from 1:00 p.m. till 3:00 p.m. Science Fair projects and the work of our students will be on display.

Celebration of Faith and Pride for our Country
Wednesday, February 1st at the 9:00 a.m. Mass

In celebration of the 2012 Catholic School theme, Faith, Academics, Service, please join us in a celebration of Faith and Pride for our country. This invitation is extended to all former and active military personnel to attend the Liturgy at St. Patrick Church with our students, staff & families.

Please invite family, friends, and neighbors who have served or are currently serving our country. Donuts and coffee will be served immediately following the mass. Please RSVP with Name(s) and Rank to the school office, 724.745.7977 by Wednesday, January 25th.

Pierogies

It’s time again to make pierogies for the upcoming Lenten Fish Fry. Volunteers, please report to the hall at St. Genevieve on Sunday, Jan. 29th at 7:00 a.m. and on Monday, Jan. 30th at 8:00 a.m.

These pierogies will be sold each Friday during Lent at our Annual Fish Fry which is held in the school cafeteria. Come, meet, and enjoy other members of our parish community. We have fun working together and sharing lunch. If you can, please bring one (1) dozen eggs to help defray some costs for this project. Any questions, please contact Loretta at 724.745.2783. 2011 Financial Statements

If you would like a statement of your contributions to St. Patrick Parish for the year of 2011, please fill out the form and drop in the offertory basket on Sunday or mail it to the Rectory office. The form is in the January 22nd Bulletin.

Free Tax Preparation

Free Tax return preparation for people over the age of 60 and low-income taxpayers will be provided by AARP at several sites in Washington County from February 1 through April 11. The volunteers are trained by the IRS and state Department of Revenue and will complete federal and state tax returns, property tax and rent rebate forms and local wage tax forms. Appointments are required, and the tax payer must bring a copy of last year’s tax return, all 2011 tax documents, original stamped 2011 property tax receipts, identification and Social Security Cards.

Heritage Public Library, 52 Fourth St., McDonald, from noon to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.
